Guided Tour

Guided tours of the museum and petroglyph trail are offered daily during open hours (October through April only) with a reservation at least two weeks in advance. Groups must be minimum six people and maximum 60 people. A tour lasts 1 hour and 45 minutes and costs the same as general admission. Art activity and goodie bags are available for children's tours.

School Field Trip

Our knowledgeable educators introduce students to rock art and the prehistoric cultures of Arizona who left their marks here between 500 and 7,000 years ago. Students will be encouraged to think more deeply about history, social studies, cultural diversity, art, desert ecology and geology.

Guided school tours of the museum and petroglyph trail are offered Tuesday–Friday (October through April only) beginning at 9:30 am or 10 a.m. with a reservation at least two weeks in advance. Group size is limited to 60 students; however, tours can be scheduled on multiple days. A tour lasts 1 hour and 45 minutes and includes a clay art activity that students take home. Outdoor lunch space is available upon request.

Cost: $2.50 students (12 & younger), $3.50 students (13+), chaperones free (1 adult per 5 students), $3.50 extra chaperones and $1 goodie bags (postcard, sticker, pencil + glow bug)

Prepare for your tour...

1. Instruct everyone to wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes, sunscreen and hats, and to bring water.

2. Select one person to collect the entire group’s payment. Payment may be in the form of cash, check or purchase order, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express).

3. If your group is 30+ people, plan to divide the group into smaller groups upon arrival.

4. If your group is children, tell the adults that they are responsible for the children's behavior at all times during the visit.
